I spent the last couple weeks doing some mixed-media pieces. Paint, collage, oil pastels, gel medium, mists and masks. Thought you'd enjoy looking them over. I'm struggling with deciding if a couple of them are finished or not. I think we all struggle with this one.

I love your stuff. I would love to see perhaps some white font in the pieces and that would pull it together for me anyway.

the mixed media pieces are just stunning-I like the fish best
the 2nd piece with the sepia girls face--her face kind of disappears into the background--maybe just a little darker behind her head (or a lot darker)would pop her out a little or a lot

They are lovely! I always think there's room for some gesso to blend images, but that's just my personal preference. Love them! And so glad that you are healthy and feeling better.
They are beautiful. The fish is my favorite. I think the last two pieces would benefit from a word on them. You know? Just a simple word....
Love the way you used color to get some of the effects. The fish one is awesome. I also like that fifth canvas - just precious!
Hi Lori, found you from our Yahoo group where you posted about these mixed-media pieces. You are doing a great job. My work is not so different from yours and I go thru the same question at times. I even think I'm done with something and then later I go back and add to it, but that's the fun of mixed-media. I do an art journal. Had to follow.
